Nerikomi is a Japanese ceramic technique that creates decorative patterns by layering and manipulating different colored clays by hand to form a combined block, which is then sliced to reveal embedded patterns throughout the piece.

This ancient method can produce marbled, striped, or geometric designs, making each piece unique and ensuring the pattern remains even if the object is cut or worn down. It’s a complex and time-consuming endeavor that provides numerous artistic opportunities.

Dishwasher and microwave safe, however, hand washing is recommended.

I do my best to accurately represent the colors of the piece, but every phone/computer screen is a little different.
